Sherwood Forest

November 2nd, 2008

Yesterday me, my mum and my brother Danny went to Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire. It is the forest in which Robin Hood used to live, in a giant oak tree called Major Oak. It is enormous and completely hollow, but unfortunately, completely fenced off. Also in the forest, we did archery. It was a lot of fun, and though the string was hard to pull back, the arrows shot through the air at a really high speed. After that we went to see my Grandad and Grandma in Nottingham. It was my Grandad’s 90th birthday.
